Blessed Feathers are heading out on the road this fall, and have started a Kickstarter campaign to offset the cost of a minivan. Rewards for donating include stickers, downloads, artwork, CDs and (of course) the beautifully packaged white vinyl edition of their upcoming Listening Party debut, From the Mouths of the Middle Class. Click the link above to check it out.
And be sure not to miss them...

We are very, very pleased to announce our newest signee, Blessed Feathers, a duo from West Bend, WI, that produces beautifully haunting folk music.
Above is the video (created by the band themselves using the Prelinger Archive’s creative commons collection found at Archive.org) for the first single off their forthcoming full-length From the Mouths of the Middle Class, which we will be...

Grant Cutler, technological pop wizard behind the regrettably now-defunct LP artist Lookbook, releases his newest EP today! A fantastic collection of spacey reflections on love, the self titled Grant Cutler and the Gorgeous Lords delicately places Cutler’s Lou Reed-esque baritone over beds of beautiful psychedelic balladry. Check out the video for the appropriately-capitalized “Our...

Milwaukee’s own (and possible-friends-of-Listening-Party) Jaill released this amazing video for “Stroller” off their Sub Pop debut That’s How We Burn. Produced by Milwaukee’s own (and possible-friends-of-Listening-Party) Rock N’ Roller Remote Controller. Watch it and buy their album already. Jeez.

City Pages recently gave Lookbook’s Maggie Morrison the Best Female Vocalist award for 2010! We here at Listening Party would like to commend them for their journalistic accuracy. This rad HD video for the award was shot by the number-one dudes over at MPLS.TV.
Way to go, Maggie! We’re still crossing our fingers that Grant will come out on top in the coveted “Swarthiest...

Sound Verite puts Lookbook in their top ten. →
We’d like to commend the Minneapolis-based blog Sound Verite for journalistic integrity, since yesterday they accurately placed Lookbook’s Wild At Heart on their top ten local albums of the year list. We are going to gracefully withhold judgement on all national publications until this time next year, since the album drops worldwide this February (via us, duh).
Another nod to Sound...

Thanks, early birds!
First, thanks so much to all of you who have downloaded Decibully’s World Travels Fast or pre-ordered the vinyl already! We really appreciate all the support!
Second, we had been having some problems with the ID tags (“Listening Party” isn’t the artist, silly!) on our downloads, but I think it’s all fixed up. We’re still working out all the kinks with our...
Listening Party: First Blood Day II
Thanks to all who came to the Cactus Club last night to help us celebrate the launch. We had a blast! Unfortunately, we totally forgot to take any pics of the evening. Well, I forgot and Nick was just too drunk to operate a camera…… so here is a picture of 500 LP logo buttons that Nick and his girlfriend Kristin made. Mmmmmm delicious!

It's launch day!
Just like when Brett Favre signed to the Vikings, we thought this day would never come, but here it is already: launch day. Please forgive us if not everything works exactly properly, we’re still working out all the kinks.
